gossip girl: nov 7 episode
Last week’s episode didn’t offer up much female fashion outside of school uniforms but there was just enough material to piece together a burlesque-inspired Femme Fatale Look for the Everyday. Start with a pair of high-waisted trouser jeans that make your legs look a mile long and draw attention to that feminine asset of yours called a waist. I gave you a few options for tops depending on how ‘everyday’ you want to look. The first is a lace blouse with a keyhole cut-out for a peek at another feminine asset you might want to highlight. The other tops are cotton and silk, one accentuating your waist even more and the other providing a more modern silhouette with darker detailing at the neck for those who need a little contrast against their skin.
Silver is back in a big way so pair the last 2 tops with a silver coral pendant but for the lace blouse, let its detail speak for itself and accessorize your wrist instead with a vintage looking charm bracelet that picks up on the gold ribbon trim. Finally, for the femme fatale factor, slip into these red paten pumps and paint your short nails a racy red for extra girl appeal.
